Rainwater Harvesting

On hot summer days, when supplies are tightest, over 70% of water supply may be used for watering gardens. (Environment Agency) Rainwater collection is one of the easiest ways you can save water, money, and energy. Rainwater harvesting simply collects the rain which fall onto roofs, then stores it in a tank or waterbutt until required for use. When required, the water is then delivered to the point of use, thus replacing the demand for mains water in the garden. Industry experts are now recognising the important role that rainwater harvesting (also known as rainwater recycling, and greywater recycling) has to play in alleviating localized flooding and reducing water usage from our taps, hence protecting the environment and reducing our bills.
