Won an eco-kettle and have been trying it out. The first thing I noticed was that it is much heavier than a normal kettle, and I have to say I didn't find it being able to boil quicker than my old kettle at all, especially from cold i.e. first thing in the morning. What it does do is helps you to only boil what you need so if you are someone who always fills the kettle for only one cup then it may be useful.. Wouldn't recommend

I too have had one of these for a few weeks and I can't fault it. It boils as much or as little water as you need (the point of an eco kettle?) and in much the same time as a 'normal' kettle. Easy to use and looks good. What more is there to a kettle??

This is a great kettle, and saves on the amount of electricity you would normally use to boil up a kettle. So economical, especially if you want to boil enough water for one cup/mug. The latest model of the kettle is alot easier to use, as it is now fitted with a plunger that you can press down with the palm of your hand. This is a bonus for the elderly and anyone who has a disability with their fingers. It does depend on how much water you put in the reservoir as to how heavy the kettle will be, so I tend to fill it to 4 cups on the scale. If you want a good kettle at a good price, this is it.

A very good kettle. Doesn't feel heavy to me, and I can measure out and boil only one cup! Easy to use and wipes clean using just a damp cloth. Looks smart on the work top too.

This thing is brilliant! I can boil only one cup as needed. I'm only a wee thing and I can lift the kettle full, with one hand. Really, it's not heavy. Anything that saves energy is good, but this must save loads. Every home should have one.
